Micronutrients in the treatment of the male Infertility

The male infertility plays an important role in the reproductive medicine. Beside the preventable risk factors, such as alcohol or smoking, some factors cannot be influenced.

The modern reproductive medicine shows a good success rate in the treatment of the infertility. But the pregnancy rate can be influenced additional before the treatment start. Beside the change of lifestyle, the supplementation of some vitamins and minerals can influence the sperm quality and the pregnancy rate.

This review provides an overview about the clinical trials on this topic. The optimal evidence-based supplementation level of the micronutrients will be discussed on the basis of the statury specifications and recommended upper limits.
